We would like to hear from anyone form around 7 years upwards, including adults of any age, who would like to try out the sport of fencing.
We provide:
Qualified Coaches, one to one tuition, and a structured plan of fencing coaching whatever level you wish to aim for.
All necessary kit and equipment.
Chance to fence recreationally or to progress towards Open Competitions on the mainland.
Chance to start fencing in Lerwick and Brae.
The club holds various taster sessions at shcools or in school holidays and for adults. These sessions are generally free.
We also run beginner courses. These are 4, 1-hour long sessions at the club at Lerwick or Brae at our weekly sessions. The course costs £20 incl all kit and hall costs etc. These may be advertised group courses, but please contact the club to start a begnner course/try out at the club at any time.
After the intro sessions, you may wish to leave it at that, but if you wanted to carry on and join the club then information is available below;
