UPDATE on Coronavirus: Monday. March 23rd
The Lerwick, Aith and Brae venues have been closed down and so all regular club sessions are cancelled until further notice.
This section on our website will be updated most days, to keep everyone up to date.
The whole club will also be kept informed by email, we will be organising some activities for home, including exercises and video quizzes.
The Shetland Fencing Club has been active for nearly 30 years, founded in 1989 (see History).
The Club welcomes anyone from around 7 years upwards, and is keen to offer the chance to all those who wish to take up this active sport. We are keen to support participants who aim for pure recreation, or who wish to develop to a high level of performance. Fencing is now a very modern sport for all, and has always been an Olympic Sport.
The Club has up to date, qualified Coaching Staff, and is affiliated to Scottish Fencing. We are based at the Gilbertson Park Hall in Lerwick and have Satellite sessions at Aith, in the Westside Leisure Centre and at Brae in the School Games Hall.
