Shetland Fencing Festival 2026

The second Shetland Fencing Festival will be held over the weekend of June 20/21st June 2026

The weekend of fencing is approaching and we want to finalise arrangements for the weekend. Shetland fencers are asked to use spond to confirm entry and please also message Phil or Mattew to confiem days you will attend.  Confirmed enries will appear shortly on lists below.

Saturday, June 20th 9 till 5, Clickimin  Epee recreational event. all ages, levels of fencer

Sunday June 21st 9 till 5 Clickimin  Foil recreational event as above. 

Please note that thte younger fencers are likely to be able to finish well before 5.

Curry Night Lerwick Boating Club from 7 till 10pm:  Held in the bar, vegetarian options.

Following on from our trial event this summer, we would like to develop this event to include:

• Recreational Competitions all day Saturday  and Sunday in epee and foil, all levels of experience, age and gender. Held in large Hall at the Clickimin Leisure Centre. We can provide kit for visitors wishing to try fence another weapon. Please let us know in advance
• Evening Meal, Saturday night at the Lerwick Boating Club on the waterfront of the old town.
• Guided tours on the Friday and Monday for anyone wishing to be shown some of Shetland's sights
• Info on travel and accommodation with discounted boat travel arranged through club.

Accommodation and travel to Shetland, these days, has to be made well in advance.
